I'm sick this weekend. Dealing with a cold like situation. My co-worker infected me. I knew I was gonna get sick... So I'm really pissed...And in between the constant fever and the sore throat, I'm miserable. Didn't really eat much. Throat was hurting and chicken noodle soup wasn't going to do it. So I'm trying to stay out the bed because I'm sick of being in it. All weekend I'm stuck in the bed and realizing that folks just don't give a damn! Which really shouldn't surprise me. I guess it's more or less of an interesting observation. So I'm outside hanging some towels on the clothes line... Yeah that's right I said it clothes line. Never lived in a house that had a clothes line before. No... I think I'm lying. I once lived in a duplex where there was a clothes line out back... but I never used it. Anyhow...My roommate said to me that we should get the pulleys... But those are for the clothes lines that hang in between buildings. That's so you can pull the laundry to you. I'm not that lazy, I can walk around and put the laundry up. I don't know what made me write about that. Maybe because all these years have gone by and folks still use clothes lines. You watch those movies of the future and they say that 2006/2007 is supposed to be this far out foreign future world. Whatever! Some things just don't change. And to be honest 2007 is a lot like 1977. Besides the occasional cell phone or computer. Not much has really changed. I didn't have a cell phone growing up and my parents knew exactly where I was... Go figure... We didn't have a computer either, and still I managed to get good grades. It's called the Library people... Now it's 2007 and folks swear they can't live without their cell phone or their computer, or their IPOD... Hmmm.... I wonder what they did when they were growing up...I suspect they were like the rest of us... They were children...
