Happy Holidays should cover everyone. There are far too many faiths and creeds that celebrate holidays in December to go in depth for each one for this blog entry, so Happy Holidays should be fine. Me personally, I celebrate Christmas. Christmas is a wonderful holiday overshadowed with too much commercialism and gift giving. I give everyday from my heart so I feel like Christmas isn't that much of a big deal. Don't get me wrong, everyone likes to receive gifts, but if folks ain't got it, guess what, they ain't got it. I've often heard that Christmas is for kids. Well... I don't necessarily agree with that. The celebration of the Birth of Christ should be for everyone that believes in him to celebrate. If you do not believe in Christ, then don't celebrate Christmas just to get gifts.

Now, I have no intention in getting a fierce religious debate, but there are many mysteries to Christ and his life on his Earth. I was watching the Davinci code this weekend, and well it did get me to thinking. The Davinci code is a fictional tale, but none the less, was quite thought provoking. It is not absurd to think that Jesus had a wife; it is not absurd to think that his wife was pregnant during the time of his crucifixion, and it is not absurd to think that the Roman Empire created and combined Christianity from a mixture of Hebrew, Christian and Pagan faiths. There is no way of knowing what the Bible says is true. There is no way of knowing that books and chapters were kept out of the current version of the bible. There is no way of knowing for a fact that Jesus was the son of GOD and not just a prophet of his word. There is no way of knowing the existence of Heaven, Hell and of Judgment Day. There is no way of knowing whether the bible is just a book and the true word of GOD. Who are God's Chosen people? There is no way of knowing for sure, because the only people that do know are dead.

You have to believe in your heart what you truly believe. No one can convince you to believe in Christ, you have to feel GOD within yourself. Religion starts within. And while some of us was raised in a Church, that doesn't mean the person rose in a Church has any more faith then the next person. It just means he or she was raised in Church. Who’s to say who is going to Heaven, and who isn't? Last I heard only GOD can judge me. Mankind is weak. We have temptations, and fears. We disappoint our GOD everyday. Which leads me to think, is our ultimate salvation through Christ? Or is our ultimate salvation through ourselves?
